ethos

Honoring the shala as a safe, wholistic environment intended for inner growth.

Ethos’ is a greek word meaning "character" that is used to describe the guiding beliefs or ideals that characterise a community, nation, or ideology. The greeks also used this word to refer to the power of music to influence emotions, behaviors, and even morals.

Please, bare in mind, that this is our home, a secret place of self inquiry, devotion, practice, dedication, self care, illuminations. The Shala is like a temple; we do have prayers, coordinated movements in repetition, concentration and focus.

Please, come clean to practice. use unscented products to wash. keep you clothes, towel and mat clean before each practice.  Even mildly scented products can be offensive to other practitioners, so please be mindful to choose unscented. Storing mats unrolled, or leaving them out in the sun are also good ways to eliminate bacteria and reduce smells.

Classes starts with mantra. If you arrive during that time, please join in or remain silent and wait quietly to sort your things out while mantra is finished. The Mantra is the way we express our gratitude towards the lineage of teachers and their students who were passing the knowledge about yoga as well as to honour the sage Patanjali. The recitation of the mantra cleanse the energy of the space we have chosen to practice yoga.

When you arrive, please place your mat quietly, move with care in respect to fellow practitioners.

Please maintain silence in the shala.

Please turn your phones off or put on silent.

Cancellation Policy -  We have limited space as you know, and sometimes there are people we have to deny access to a class, occasionally there is a waiting list for a certain hour. We are growing as a community it is necessary to lay down these rules. In case of late cancellation (less than 24 hours before the class) or not showing up, you will be charged as attending to class (except emergencies of course).
